PARISH COUNCIL CHAIR

Cllr Liz Stephenson has resigned as Parish Council Chair for health reasons, though will continue as a Councillor.  The Parish Council would like to thank Liz for all the work that she has done for Goodmanham, and wishes her a speedy recoveery.  In the meanwhile Cllr Mary Rook will operate as acting Chair until a new Chair is elected at the next Council meeting.

PARTICIPATION AT COUNCIL MEETINGS

The Council has received queries from people who believe that the public are not allowed to speak at Council meetings.  This is not correct as there is time set aside at each meeting for the public the raise concerns about issues in the Parish.  This is always the first item on the agenda.  In addition parishioners have the opportunity to raise issues at the Annual Parish Meeting.  All regular Council meetings are open to the public.  These are publicised on this website and the Council's Facebook page.  Please contact the Clerk if you have any queries about attendance or participation at Council meetings.

COUNCILLOR VACANCY NOTICE

There is a vacancy in the Parish Council following the resignation of Cllr Sawyer.  The Parish Council would like to thank Cllr Sawyer for her lengthy service to the Council and wishes her well for the future.

This vacancy will be addition to 2 vacancies which have not been filled since the Election in 2023.  Anyone who has an interest in becoming a councillor or who would like to find out more should contact the Clerk on clerk@goodmanhampc@live.co.uk or 079891 371937.
